Notes	The research is an attempt to shed light on the reality of the Sufi orders and an attempt to develop a complete picture of these orders, how they are managed, the extent of their penetration into society, and the nature of their social and service activities that gave them this ability to spread, and to focus on the pivotal events in the history of the Sufi orders and their institutions, with an explanation of their most important terms. The research relied on the use of historical and descriptive analytical approaches, as the combination of the two approaches is appropriate to identify the stages that Sufism went through in general in terms of concept and application, as well as its development and spread in Egypt since its entry and through its history in Islamic Egypt as a prelude to the period in question for the research, which is after the evacuation of the French campaign and Muhammad Ali’s accession to the rule of Egypt in 1805 AD until the end of the Mubarak era in 2011 AD and clarifying the position of the various caliphs and presidents regarding the outbreak of the January 2011 revolution. Reviewing the methods, their organizational structure, and their number, and making a comparison between those institutions in that period and the period in question for research, from Muhammad Ali and his successors until the end of the Mubarak era.
