This study, entitled “The Impact of the Most Favored Nation Clause” of Article Eleven of the Frankfurt Peace Treaty on German-French and international relations between the years (1871-1914 AD) through German sources - an analytical historical study, dealt with, firstly: the circumstances during which the Frankfurt Peace Treaty was signed, and the French side’s insistence on the wording of Article Eleven of this treaty, secondly: the negative impact of this article on the development of economic and political relations between Germany and France until the World War. The first. Although this study did not do justice - in detail - to the long and extremely complex relations between Germany and France between 1871 AD and 1914 AD, it showed that the disruption of direct German-French economic relations had a major impact on the policy of international alliances in general, and on the relations between the German Reich and the Ottoman Empire in particular. Although many studies by German researchers dealt with the Frankfurt Peace Treaty and its provisions in general, they - as far as the researcher knows - did not address German-French relations. Before 1914 AD, especially the impact of Article Eleven of this treaty on the economic relations between Germany and the European powers on the one hand and between Germany and the Ottoman Empire on the other hand, it had not yet been considered an independent topic for research, hence the importance of this study. The nature of the study necessitated relying on the historical and analytical method based on investigating information and data from its primary sources, analyzing its contents, and classifying it in a way that suits the subject of the study.
