Notes Neither the mother Shadhili order nor its branch, the Darqawi, was destined to spread in the Ottoman Empire as other Sufi orders were destined for, but in the late nineteenth century we began to see the Darqawi Shadhili order appear in the capital of the Caliphate, Istanbul, under the patronage of the Sultan, and in Damascus, one of the most important Arab cities in the Ottoman Empire, among the kindness of scholars and in the service of the Damascene public, which heralded a prosperous future for the order. However, the issuance of the decision to ban hospice in Türkiye stood against the spread of the order. In Anatolia, while it was destined to spread in Damascus for many reasons, the research attempts to identify them and review its most important branches, and sheds light on its branch that still continues in Damascus to this day, which is the branch of the Hashemite Aliyah al-Darqawiyya al-Shadhliyya order, which was founded by Sheikh Muhammad al-Hashemi in Damascus and from which it spread to many regions around the world.
