Mustafa Kamel Pasha, the Egyptian political leader, founded the National Party and the “Al-Liwaa” newspaper. He was one of the advocates for the establishment of the Islamic University, and one of the greatest opponents of colonialism. He was known for his major role in areas of renaissance, such as spreading education and establishing the National University. His party called for a closer bond with the Ottoman Empire instead of the English occupying countries, as his efforts led to exposing the crimes of the occupation and denouncing them in international forums, especially after the Denshaw massacre, which led to the fall of Lord Cromer, the High Commissioner. British, his first political book, entitled “The Book of the Eastern Question,” appeared in 1898 AD, and it is one of the important books in the history of Egyptian politics. Mustafa Kamel preferred the presence of the Ottoman Empire to the British presence in general in the Arab countries, since the Ottoman Empire represented the Islamic Caliphate and it was he who saw the necessity of submitting to it. Mustafa Kamel explained the eastern issue and extracted lessons from it for the future of the Ottoman Empire. The most prominent and famous political historical impact of Mustafa Kamel was his book “The Eastern Question”, which is the entire point that contains a summary of his opinions on the problems and issues of the Ottoman Empire, and reflects his position towards the state, its present and its future. This book appeared in April 1898 AD. It is a valuable book in which it explains the developments of the Eastern Question and the position of the European countries, especially England, towards it. It elaborates on the definition of the Eastern Question and explains its events in the eighteenth and then nineteenth centuries, going on to mention the independence of Greece, then the Syrian issue between Muhammad Ali and Turkey, the Crimean War, and the Berlin Conference, then explaining the Egyptian issue, then the Bulgarian and Greek issues. The book aims to endear independence to the nation and revive the national feeling in the souls. His readers.
