Muslims had the first place in paying attention to medical education in terms of applied education through the bimaristans, and the Muslims succeeded in forming an important generation in medical activity that had the greatest impact on Islamic civilization. An example of this is the Al-Mansuri bimaristan in Cairo, which was built by Sultan Al-Mansur Qalawun in 1284 AD to provide health and social care to patients free of charge and to teach medicine. It continued to play its role in the Mamluk era and continued to perform its role during the Ottoman era, and given the importance of this medical edifice. Scientific research in the Ottoman era had to highlight its role during this period, so I wanted it to be a subject of research, and the study stipulates that it should be divided into an introduction and four sections. In this work, I talked about the emergence of Bimaristan, its departments, and the scientific and medical specializations present in it, and I talked about its facilities, educational systems, teaching methods, examination system, and administrative systems in it, as scientific and practical study was available in it, and it served as a university for teaching medicine. I also discussed the methods of treatment and medical services provided in it, which are based on a wonderful system that is compatible with... The psychological condition of patients, and I also talked about how medicine is manufactured and the properties contained in it, and about the financial resources represented by the endowments allocated to it during the Mamluk and Ottoman eras. Then I appended this research with a conclusion and a list of sources and references.
