Notes The subject of the study is the Battle of Lepanto 979 AH / 1571 AD, which took place between the two Ottoman fleets. In Europe, the researcher shed light on the battle due to its importance, as the Ottomans were defeated for the first time in the Battle of Lepanto. The study focuses on facts related to the battle and the real reasons for the defeat of the Ottomans. It included the size of the military power of both sides, the reasons that led to defeat in this early period of their history, and the negative and positive results that resulted from it for both sides. The negative result of the battle was the victory of the allied European fleet for the first time in its history over the Ottomans, as the study made clear that the European fleets It avoided wars or clashes with the Ottoman fleet, and despite the negative outcome of the battle, which was unfavorable to the Ottomans, the Ottoman fleet, in a few months, built itself to strike the European coasts, specifically the Italian and Spanish coasts, which were among the parties allied against the Ottomans, and was able to restore balance to itself again. The study is about the battle of Lepanto 1571-979 H, between the ottoman and European union naval fleets, the researcher shed light on the battle because of its importance, the ottoman were defeated for the first time at battle of Lepanto, the study is based on facts about the battle and the real reasons for the defeat of the ottomans.
