Notes
This research deals with agricultural lands and society in Ottoman Egypt during the twelfth century AH / eighteenth century AD, and I mentioned the distribution of the real estate structure of Egyptian lands. Including: miri lands, private ownership lands, endowment lands, fallow lands, abandoned property lands, communal property, and private property. It also dealt with the social groups that owned or disposed of the land, and the most prominent of them were: observant people, merchants, scholars, and women. The study concluded by talking about the relationship of landowners with the centers of power in Ottoman Egypt. The research continued to yield several important results, including: The availability of agricultural lands in Egypt in the eighteenth century was of great importance through a tight system that resulted in types of agricultural properties such as the meri land, as well as private property, i.e. the Awasi, the endowment lands, and the Irzq al-Ahbasiyah, in addition to the fallow and Sharqi lands, abandoned properties, communal properties, as well as private properties.
