Notes During the 10th century AH/16AD century, the Mediterranean basin region witnessed many developments and important changes in the existing relations between the various countries bordering it, especially in the western part of it. For Maghreb and North African history, this century is considered a pivotal century as it witnessed a major transformation at all levels, perhaps the most prominent of which is the Islamic-Christian conflict led by both the Ottoman Empire in the East and the Spanish Empire in the West. The latter launched a crusade against the North African region, especially after the fall of Granada. The French historian Braudel was passionate about the Mediterranean Sea, the latter with which his life had been linked since his youth, and to which he devoted a large part of his life to understanding its events, facts, and fluctuations. In this study, we will discuss his presentation of Mediterranean issues through his articles that he published in the African Magazine. Which came in 19 AD to publish many works by researchers of different nationalities, cultures, and even ideologies.
