Notes The research entitled (The Iraqi Habzbuz Newspaper: A Historical Study of Its Intellectual, Political, and Social Trends 1931-1938) includes a study of this newspaper and its intellectual, political, and social trends for the period from 1931-1938, that is, starting from the publication of the first issue on 9/29/1931 by Nuri Thabet, its founder and editor-in-chief, to be a model for satirical writing in the Iraqi press since the beginning of the emergence of the first Iraqi newspaper named “Zawraa” on June 15, 1869, during the Ottoman era and the rule of Midhat Pasha, to be a holiday for the Iraqi press. Therefore, the study focused on the most important satirical issues published by the newspaper and its criticism of the monarchy, specifically the National Assembly, not to mention other social issues, defying all obstacles and the stages of its cessation, for multiple and varied reasons, between government pressure once and confrontation with parties again, to continue until the death of its founder, Nouri Thabet, on 10/12/1938, ending the journey of this newspaper with its last issue on July 5 of the same year.
