Notes	This research deals with one of the Kurdish figures, namely Sheikh Abdul Salam Barzani, who played a clear role in his opposition to Ottoman policy in order to achieve Kurdish demands during the era of the Young Turks. In this context, Sheikh Abdul Salam strongly opposed the Turkification policy pursued by the Ottoman Empire towards non-Turkish peoples, including the Kurds. But Abdel Salam's struggle was thwarted by external interference from Russia and Britain. This research relied on a group of important and diverse sources represented by documents, books, and research published in periodicals.
