The research dealt with the various stages that the social conditions of Palestine went through before the British Mandate, which forced the Palestinian people to abandon fertile lands for Jews to settle there with the help of the British occupation, starting in 1918 AD. The research consists of an introduction, several elements, a conclusion, and a list of sources and references. As for the elements of the research: the first element dealt with: the social structure of the population of Palestine before the period of the British Mandate, especially the Palestinian Arabs from the class of farmers, workers, merchants, and craftsmen, then the Jews. As for the second element: it was represented by the issuance of the ill-fated Balfour Declaration on November 2, 1917 AD, establishing a Jewish national homeland in Palestine in the late Ottoman era, the beginning of the British Mandate, and the beginning of Jewish immigration during World War I. The third element: it is public education in the late Ottoman era. Primary schools, middle schools, and secondary classes were established and were attached to primary schools, in addition to religious education that was widespread in Palestinian cities and villages, especially the city of Jerusalem and some other cities such as Nablus, Haifa, Jaffa, and other cities. Palestine. The fourth element sheds light on the social conditions and their impact on Palestinian cities and villages, on education, and on living conditions in all Palestinian cities, especially the city of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, the capital of the State of Palestine, before the British Mandate approved by the League of Nations over Palestine in 1922 AD. We explain here that the research relied on many references, sources, documents, periodicals, important personal memoirs, and scientific dissertations, all of which contributed to the research emerging into this form that it has now.
