Notes The mihrab: with the kasra of the mem and the sukoon of the ha, its plural is mahārib, which is the highest position, the heart of the house, the most honorable and honorable place in it, and it is said that it is the room overlooking the house or the council and the most honorable place in it, and the mihrab is the mihrab in the eyes of the common people. People today hold it in place of the imam in the mosque, as it is the center of the assembly, and it is said that it is the center of the mosque and the most honorable, holiest and most honorable place in it. The word mihrab is also taken from the word “mihrab” because when a person prays, he is fighting Satan and his own soul, which commands evil, and it is the position of the imam. The qiblah of the mosque was linked to a Semitic specificity with regard to the place or the person, and the word “mihrab” did not appear in the Arab Sunnah before Islam in its meaning used in mosques, as the word “mihrab” was linked to the direction of the qiblah in the mosque exclusively due to its specificity for performing the obligatory five daily prayers and Friday prayers.
