Notes
The analysis deals with four letters from the Kingdom of Granada in Andalusia to the Mamluk Sultanate in Egypt. The first of these letters was in 844 AH/1440 AD, the second in 855 AH/1451 AD, the third in 868 AH/1464 AD, and the fourth in 892 AH/1488 AD. The study as a whole is analytical and deals with the letter, its reasons, and the response to it by The Mamluks in Egypt. One of the most important results of the research is that the internal conditions of the Kingdom of Granada and the struggle of the powerful and Christian kingdoms neighboring it were what prompted it to seek help from Egypt, in addition to the weakness of the Maghreb countries. Egypt provided only in-kind assistance in the form of money, equipment, and weapons, and did not provide military support due to the circumstances of its external relations with the Christian kingdoms, the papacy, and the Ottoman Empire, as well as the distance of Andalusia from Egypt.
