A- Importance: The importance of the study lies in the danger of these epidemics and diseases to the pilgrims’ forum. B- Research objectives: 1- Describe the environment and geography of Mecca and Jeddah, and the political situation. 2- Explaining the origins of quarantine and quarantines in Hijaz. 3- Review and analyze the testimonies of foreign travelers about epidemics and quarantines. Based on the fact that the nature of the topic (in its entirety and in its parts) is what essentially determines the features of the methodological approach that should be adopted in the research; Due to the nature of this historical study, the research topic imposed the researcher’s use of the descriptive and analytical method.
