Notes The Ottoman opposition movement represented by the Young Turks united with the Armenians, and Sultan Abdul Hamid II (1876 - 1909) was deposed and exiled to Thessaloniki. The negativity of the Russian role in moving the Armenian issue is also clear. As a result of the Russian government persecuting Armenians in Russia similar to the Ottoman Empire. Therefore, it was not uncommon for the Russian government to demand improvement of the conditions of the Ottoman Armenians, nor for the Russian opposition to revolt against the government in 1905. Likewise, the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, in addition to the defeat of the Russians at the hands of Japan. All these events made Russia remain silent in demanding the improvement of the conditions of the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.
