Notes Because the scientific heritage in Hijaz was large, attention was not paid to monitoring and recording it as much as its scientific value, so a large amount of this scientific product was lost, and in order for the picture of judgment on this heritage to become clear, it was necessary to work on creating a vision for this scientific heritage in an attempt to call for attention to it so that it returns to the cultural forefront of that ancient nation. Hence the study, for which I chose a title, which is: “The lost Arab heritage from the reality of the book Al-Nour Al-Safir on the News of the Tenth Century by the historian Muhyiddin Abdul Qadir bin Abdullah Al-Aydorus.” (978-1038 AH - 1570-1628 AD).” This study included an introduction in which I talked about the concept of Islamic heritage, and several sections, including. In the first section, I talked about a brief definition of the historian from his birth until his death, then I shed light on the book Al-Nour Al-Safer about the news of the tenth century. The second section dealt with the reasons for the loss of the Hejazi Arab heritage in the tenth century as part of the Ottoman era, which took over the rule of the Arab countries at that time. Then I concluded with the third section and presented examples of this lost Arab heritage from what the historian Al-Aidarous observed in his book on various branches of science. One of the most important results of the study was knowing the causes of the loss of the Arab heritage, which were the destruction of books, rainfall and floods, the frequent epidemics and the spread of fires, which resulted in the loss of many scientific books and the death of many scholars.
