The Kurdish movement began to emerge before the establishment of the modern Turkish Republic, before the fall of the Ottoman Empire, as the Kurdish region was shared by four countries: Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria. This movement developed. After being groups calling for independence and self-rule, it became armed movements as a reaction to the modern policy that Turkey pursued with them, whose goal was to dissolve the Kurdish identity in the Turkish identity, which was represented by the emergence of the armed Turkish (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) that demanded secession. The Turkish Kurdistan region in southern Turkey and the demand for the rights of the Turkish Kurds, which made the Turkish Kurdish issue part of the internal problems in Turkey, including the security aspects that were reflected in its foreign policies as they take on a regional and international dimension.
