Algerian Navy during long periods of the modern era, seizing thousands of French, Spanish, Italian and British ships. According to some European statistics, this has captured and arrested approximately one million prisoner of a European, mostly Italian coast, Spanish, and Portuguese, as well as from the coast of France, Britain, the Netherlands and Ireland, and even beyond that down even Iceland and North America.
