Notes The content of this research entitled: (Scientific explanations for the phenomenon of deleting the single letter waw in Uthmanic script, an analytical study of selected models) lies in the study of one of the phenomena of Uthmanic script, which is the deletion of the single letter waw in some words of the Holy Qur’an. The research aims to highlight the phenomenon of deletion of the single letter waw in the Holy Qur’an, and to explain the scientific reasons for this addition away from affectation, arbitrariness, and blaming it unless it is tolerated. The method followed is inductive and analytical. This is done by tracking the Qur’anic words on which deletion had a significant impact, then analyzing and studying them. To realize the practical impact that appears in its structure. One of the most prominent findings of the research is that the deletion of the single letter waw came for scientific reasons whose credibility is impossible to enter into guesswork and doubt. The results also conclude that the paths of these explanations varied between several sciences such as the Arabic language, readings, interpretation, and spelling rules, which indicates the validity of the explanations and their close scientific connection.
