Notes The research deals with an artistic archaeological study of a unique Qur’an by the calligrapher Muhammad al-Hakim al-Tanabiyy al-Yazdi, dated 855 AH/1451 AD. Published and taught for the first time. This study aims to shed light on one of the Persian calligraphers who excelled in writing in the Thuluth and Naskh script during the Timurid era, the Yazdi syntactic calligrapher, while providing information about his life, the date of his death, and his calligraphic influences, as well as analyzing his artistic style in the Naskh and Thuluth scripts through the study Qur’an, and arriving at the artistic school that the calligrapher followed in writing the Naskh script, with an attempt to compare his style in writing the Naskh script with the direct masters of calligraphy before him, such as Al-Sayrafi and before him Yaqut Al-Mustasimi. And comparing the artistic style of the Yazdi calligrapher with some of the pioneers of calligraphy in the Ottoman era to find out who followed his path and followed his style of writing. It also provides an analytical study of the lines and decorations added to the manuscript during the Alawite Dynasty. This study also seeks to analyze the endowment of the Qur’an and analyze the pillars and conditions of the endowment mentioned therein. In this study, the researcher followed the historical approach that relies on description and analysis as well as extrapolating sources and references in order to achieve the objectives of this study. One of the most prominent results of the study was that it showed the archaeological and historical value of the Qur’an, the subject of the study. It also clarified the artistic and written method of the Yazdi compositional calligrapher in writing this Noble Qur’an, and arriving at his artistic school in writing Naskh script.
