Notes	The defense installations in the city of Algiers during the Ottoman era represent an important episode in the history of the art of war in the modern era, especially since this period was the period of direct confrontation between two civilizations, an Eastern civilization and a Western civilization, and the axis of meeting between them was the Mediterranean coast, so it strengthened its defensive installations. Through this modest research, we will try to shed light on one of these defensive facilities, which is the Tamantvost Fortress, which is considered one of the most important external forts in the city of Algeria.
