The Republic of Turkey, which inherited the sociocultural heritage resulting from the state and social structure of the Ottoman Empire, was formed as a nation state with a forced and sudden interruption in the historical scene. The sociocultural heritage in question has caused problems, especially in matters of citizenship, identity and rights, both in daily life and in the administrative field. Their sociocultural experience has made the Jewish community, one of the religious communities of the Republic of Türkiye, unique. Jewish groups, whose existence in the Anatolian geography dates back to before Jesus Christ, came under Ottoman protection after Byzantium. Jews who were exiled by the inquisition courts established in Spain and Portugal in the late fifteenth century took refuge in the Ottoman Empire. The Jewish population, which increased in the period until the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye, decreased due to some push factors and external immigration from Turkey as a result of the establishment of the State of Israel. This study will focus on the relationship between the bond of belonging and citizenship and asabiyyah established in the identity construction process of the Turkish Jewish community. At the center of this focus are land and history as ties of belonging, taxes and military service as ties of citizenship, and the existence of the strong state of Israel as a haven of refuge as a relationship of asabiyyah.
