Bath structures, which emerged as a result of the importance given to bathing since ancient times and whose dictionary meaning is "place to wash", ensured their continuity with the style created during the Roman and Byzantine periods. Turkish baths, which were shaped on the bath tradition of the Roman and Byzantine periods, gained a unique form over time, especially after the acceptance of Islam. It is seen that the differences in belief and behavior brought by Islam and the important changes in the Turkish bath structure emerged with the new arrangements made in the plan typology during the Ottoman period. In the Ottoman Empire, various functions were assigned to these structures and baths were generally built to provide income. The "Turkish Bath", built by the Russian Tsar Nicholas as a message for his own political purposes after the Ottoman-Russian war that took place in 1828-1829, bears traces of the mentioned Ottoman baths. The bath, which the Tsar ordered to be built in the Yekaterinburg park, was a product of the project that the important Russian architect Monigetti carefully considered. Although the structure in question differs from the Ottoman bath establishment, it has similar features in terms of function and decoration details. However, the external appearance of the work that is the subject of our study, with its minaret form next to it, resembles Turkish Mosque architecture. In terms of decorative features, an oriental arabesque style of decoration dominates the building. As a matter of fact, our aim in this study is to first explain the characteristics of a Turkish structure in its own culture, which was built on Russian soil and from a completely Russian perspective, and then to reveal the similarities and differences between both constructions.
