Notes This research paper aims to study one of the remaining baths in the city of Homs from the Ottoman period. The importance of this study is that it is the first of its kind to study the bathroom from an architectural and archaeological perspective. This study is a complete documentary study of the bathroom units and its architectural elements, which still remain in good condition. The study dated the hammam according to what was stated on the founding inscription above its entrance, and also included a comprehensive description of all the hammam’s units, including the various architectural elements they contain. The study also examined the various sources that supplied the bathroom with water, in addition to studying the heating methods that were used to heat the internal units of the bathroom. This study highlighted how the pigeons were affected by the events of the Syrian revolution and were tossed several times, which led to many of its units being exposed to cracks and collapse, and urged the necessity of preserving and restoring it. This study contains a number of illustrations and photographs, all of which were photographed by the researcher during his visit to the city in the summer of 2010 AD, knowing that all the illustrations and photographs included in the study are published for the first time in this research.
