Notes This study deals with the last Ottoman governor in the Yemen. Its main goal is to explain the important role this governor played in that area during World War One. However, Mahmud Nadim Beck was among the few Ottoman personnel's who decided to stay in Yemen after the defeat of the Ottomans in the war. He played a very important role in agitating the Yemen tribes against the British although some Turkish military leaders in Yemen decided to surrender and leave Yemen peacefully. His relations with Imam Yahya, Mohammed Bin Ali al-Idrissi, King Abduaziz Aal-Saud, and the British will be dealt with in this study.
