| Notes | Border is one of the key concepts in Ottoman-Iranian relations. The Ottoman-Iranian border caused ongoing problems between the two states for many years after the Battle of Chaldiran in 1514. Towards the middle of the 19th century, with the involvement of Britain and Russia in the Ottoman-Iranian border problems, the borders of the two states gained an international dimension and the borders became clear. |
