Notes	It is accepted that we are in a cultural and identity crisis today. The article seeks to answer the question under which concepts the issue of culture and identity is discussed and what the historical, cultural and social basis of these concepts are. The article, which uses the hermeneutic method, which means the art of hermeneutic understanding, aims to examine whether document-oriented modern studies can create a philosophy of history and an identity within the framework of Three Ways of Politics (Turkishness, Ottomanism and Islamism).
