Notes
The research deals with the struggle of Syrian women during the French Mandate. The Syrian woman did not ignore the revolutions and associations that broke out, but rather participated and made every effort to get rid of the French Mandate. The Syrian woman stood with the man and supported him in his wars against the French colonialists. The Syrian woman had a prominent role in achieving independence and continued to fight and demonstrate, in addition to the associations she founded until achieving independence, which happened in 1946. Many politicians supported women’s participation in political and social life, as the Syrian woman had She played a major role, whether in the Ottoman era, the Faisal era, or during the Mandate. She actively participated with her brother, the man, in fighting French colonialism and demanded freedom and independence like men. She also participated socially through forums and associations in combating colonialism, or through education, which she considered a weapon against the French enemy, until Syria gained its independence in 1946.
