Notes Hassan al-Tawil, the most important prince of the “White Sheep” tribes, fought many wars and internal battles until he was able to settle on the throne of his king in Diyarbakir. After the situation was settled for him internally, he was able to elevate his tribe, the Aq Qoynlu, to a power to be reckoned with. After he consolidated the pillars of his rule, he began to expand west and east, and antagonized the Mamluks and the Ottomans and caused them trouble by seizing their lands. I believe that he can become the most important force. If the European powers helped him, he communicated with them and received all their welcome and support, but he did not take into account that the Ottomans and Mamluks could unite against him and block the way to his ambitions. Perhaps it was Hassan al-Tawil’s misfortune that the Sultan of the Ottomans at that time was Muhammad the Conqueror, who overthrew Constantinople with his own hand, that impregnable fortress that his sultan predecessors were unable to overcome. It was natural that he would not hesitate to eliminate the threat of Hassan al-Tawil and put an end to his ambitions, which would be an obstacle to the Ottoman expansionist ambition.
