The House of Ziad Al-Jalili is considered one of the ancient houses in the city of Mosul, as its construction dates back to (1143 AH / 1730 AD). Thus, it falls within the era of Galilean rule, and their era is considered one of the golden eras of Mosul in the Ottoman era. The house belongs to the governor, Muhammad Amin Pasha Al-Jalili, and it was known as the Ziad Al-Jalili House, named after an elderly man in the family. The house is located in the Shahr Suq area, near the Omar Al-Aswad Mosque on Al-Farouq Street. It is one of the luxurious homes of the Galileans, with an estimated area of (3,300 square meters). It consists of many sections, what interests us are six iwans built in it, according to a structural system in which the iwan is in the middle, with two rooms on either side of it. Ziyad al-Galilee house is one of Mosul’s antiquarian houses, its construction date back to (1143 AH / 1730 AD). It’s gone back to al-galilee reign time, a time of them was a golden period in Mosul during the ottoman era. Ownership of a house belongs to Mohammed Amin Pasha al-Galilee, a judge of the Mosul. It was known as a house of Ziyad al-Galilee, as for the old man in this family. The house is located in the Shahr Suq, close to Omar al-Aswad mosque on al-Farouq street. It’s one of the luxurious homes of Galilees, its area appreciates (3300 square meters). The house is composed of several parts, we care for in six Iwans were built in it, according to a structural system in which the Iwan is in the middle, with two stones on its sides.
