This study is based on praising the sandal of the best of creation (may God bless him and grant him peace) in light of the features of his noble and inviolable sandal, through the poetic texts contained therein, and the hadiths and narrations mentioned by jurists and hadith scholars, by relying on what has been reported from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, from authentic hadiths, most of which are in the book Al-Shama’il al-Muhammadiyah by Imam al-Tirmidhi - may God have mercy on him - in addition to the poetry scattered in the depths of the sources, and what was mentioned in Al-Hafiz Al-Iraqi’s Alfiyyah. These hadiths and poems exceeded the accuracy in providing a true description of the sandals of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the honors that were attached to them, and the meanings that the poets dealt with, and the extent of sanctification, reverence, and greatness for them, - and the right to do so - which enabled me to come up with relative definitions for them, and to explain their shape, and describe their beauty, number, skin, type, color, and the meanings that revolved around them, and the reasons that led to their spread, especially in the eras of the countries that followed from the Mamluk era. Al-Othmani and others, and in my study I relied on the descriptive analytical method because of its ability to provide an accurate description of the nature of the study and its analysis of texts that fit within the limits of the description and lesson.
