Notes The research deals with a study of the personality of the great companion Al-Mughira bin Shu’bah Al-Thaqafi, in terms of his name, lineage, and social life. Then it addresses his conversion to Islam and his most prominent participation in the battles and invasions that the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, fought, such as the battle of Hunayn, and the siege of Al-Taif, his country and birthplace. The research addresses his role in destroying Al-Lat, the idol of Thaqif, in addition to his role in The wars of apostasy during the era of Caliph Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him. The research deals with some of his works and aspects of his personality, with some study and analysis, with a focus on the intelligence, acumen, clear-headedness, and prestige that distinguished this personality, which made its owner a shrewd Arab, of whom the nation is proud. The research turns to his role in the Arab-Islamic conquest and liberation operations, in addition to his selection as governor of Basra and Kufa during the era of Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) and governor of Kufa during the era of Caliph Othman bin Affan (may God be pleased with him) and the era of Caliph Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may God be pleased with him). The research sheds light on the accusation with which this venerable companion was accused, which was the reason for his removal by Caliph Omar (may God be pleased with him) from the governorship of Basra, with a discussion of this issue and its refutation with the available evidence and historical texts. Finally, the research deals with the death of this great companion, may God Almighty have mercy on him.
