This study deals with a group of compositions belonging to the Al-Hammadi Bey family in Balsafoura, located in Sohag Governorate. These compositions are located inside a special plot attached to the house of the Al-Hammadi family, and these compositions have not been published before. The study addresses many problems, the first of which is the study and publication of this group, and what are the motives and reasons behind the implementation of some animal drawings on the compositions under study, and did this animal have a special symbolism, and is there an influence of the surrounding environment on the compositions under study, and can historical events escape? The Mamluks of Upper Egypt during the Ottoman era had an influence on the arts in that region, and what are the reasons behind the presence of the turban of the Sufi Sufi Abdul Qadir al-Jilani on one of these compositions? Does this family or one of its members follow the Gilani method? Are the dates of death mentioned by travelers and historians consistent with what was established on the evidence or not? All of these are questions that this study will answer. The study relies on the scientific method based on the precise description of the compositions and the various decorative elements they contain, and the analysis of those elements in terms of the raw material for these compositions, how the decorative elements are implemented on them, and knowledge of their different styles.
