Notes Philosophical treatise on the question of whether souls are limited or infinite by Abū al-Ḥasan Thābit ibn Qurrah al-Ḥarrānī (Abu al-Hasan Thabit ibn Qurrah al-Harrani; d. 901) written in response to questions put to him by Abū Musá ‘Isá ibn Asad. The full title is given as (f. 12v, lines 4-6): One of the issues that Abu Musa asked about Issa bin Asad Abu Al-Hasan Thabit bin Qara Al-Harrani Begins (f. 12v, lines 7-9): Thabit bin Qurra said in Intsha an answer when he was asked about the matter of souls Is it finite or not? I am amazed by those who say that He, Blessed and Most High, does not know the particulars, but rather He teaches colleges... Ends (f. 16v, lines 1-4): ...And likewise if one of these two terms were to be set First, he would have needed to establish proof on the other two terms in order for the term to return to what it was He is not proven, so he is patient and needs proof, and this is a situation that exists in many engineering matters Sports and others Colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text.
