Notes The Kitāb al-Buthūr is the 'alāmāt al-mawt (كتاب البثور في علامات الموت) is the Arabic version of a pseudo-Hippocratic text ζωῆς καὶ θανάτου. A Latin version made from the Arabic exists known variously as the Secret Hippocrates due to the text having suppopsedly been hidden in Hippocrates' tomb, the The capsule burns (from the ivory gate mentioned at the beginning of the text, f. 326r, line 8) the Of pustulis . . . .
