Notes Treatise on the use of the astrolabe Ancient instrument for astronomical observations. by Muḥammad ibn ‘Alī ibn Yaḥyá ibn al-Naṭṭāḥ (Muhammad bin Ali bin Yahya bin Al-Natah). The text is divided into fifty-one sections (sections). Begins (f. 1v, lines 2-4): Muhammad bin Ali bin Yahya bin Al-Natah, may God have mercy on him, said Praise be to God, who created man and came to the sun and the moon as a reckoning to know those who are close The cores... Ends (f. 24v, lines 7-9): ...Muhammad said, “I have finished the doors in working on the astrolabe.” To what I stipulated at the beginning of the book, may God guide us to the path by example and grant us success Why did he first jump (?) and make us among those who hold on to his ropes, enshrined in Talalah and Qarariyah?
