Encyclopaedia on ethics based on traditions of the pre-Islamic prophets by Taqī al-Dīn ʻAbd al-Malik ibn Abī al-Muná al-Bābī al-Ḥalabī al-Ḍarīr (Taqī al-Dīn ibn Abi al-Muna al-Bābi al-Halabi the Blind, d. 1435), known as ʻUbayd (slaves), imām, preacher (preacher) and teacher at the Ummayad Mosque in Aleppo (Great Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo). The present manuscript is Volume One (Part One), which contains the first twenty books (books) of the work. A table of contents, which includes the names of the books and chapters (sections) into which each is subdivided and the folios on which the books and chapters begin, is found on ff. 1v-6v. A short biographical sketch of the author is found at the foot of the title page (f. 10r).
The scribe is Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Ḥasan al-Bābī (?) al-Shāfiʻī (Muḥammad ibn Ahmad ibn Hasan al-Ḥāy al-Shafi’i, see

Between the table of contents and the main text (ff. 7r-9r) is a short Chapter on the Virtue of [the Month] Rajab (Chapter on the Fadl of Rajab), which begins with a prophetic tradition (Hadith) transmitted by Abū al-ʻAlāʼ Ḥāmid ibn Uways (? Abu al-Ala Hamid ibn Uways [?]). This text was not copied by the hand of the scribe of the main text and the relationship between this text and the main text is clear.

Praise be to God, who revived the hearts of those who know the breadth of His mercy and inspired them
From begging him, what they pay with is great, taking him, punishing him, and giving him a gift
They have the mounts of sadness and crying that will take them to the homes of Paradise
Ends (f. 266r, lines 16-19):
Ibn (!) Zaid said: The end was saved and the two groups perished, and this is more severe
A verse about abandoning the prohibition of evil is the Almighty’s saying: “When they disobeyed what they forbade.”
Two parents (!) turned away from disobedience. We told them, “Be apes.” It was a conversion order
And the formation of disgraceful, deported and expelled...
