Fragment of an anonymous treatise on the arts of the lance. The text is defective at beginning and end, starting abruptly in Chapter 1 (باب الأول) and ending just after the chapter heading for Chapter 7 (الباب السابع).

عالم أو متعلم ويكون ذلك قالب شهعة

لم يكن ثم حاضرًا يفعل ذلك ليصير
ذلك عادة مستمرة مستحكمة ليفعل
ذلك في المبلاء (؟) إذا كان ثم من حضر

وبطل جوابه و جميع حركاته فعند ذلك
اطعنه في مواضع طعنه وهو على الأرض كذلك
