Notes General manual on hunting with falcons, dogs and other animals by Abū al-Rūḥ ʿIsá ibn ‘Alī al-Asadī al-Baghdādī (Abu al-Ruh Isa bin Ali al-Asadi al-Baghdadi, fl. 1150-70). The work was divided into two parts (two parts), the first on the methods and techniques of hunting, and the second on the care and treatment of animals. This copy is defective at the beginning and the end, and contains only Part Two of the work. For this reason, the incorrect title al-Bayṭarah li-l-wuḥūsh (Veterinarian for monsters, Veterinary Medicine for Wild Animals ) is found on f. 1r and in the margin of f. 2r. A list of the chapters (Aboob) of Part Two and their titles appears on ff. 5v-12r. Begins (f. 2r, lines 1-3, defective at beginning): Some wise men said to his son, “Do not aspire to achieve excellence in matters slowly.” Knowledge is at ease with the body, and not with old age In good praise with health... Ends (f. 184, lines 14-17, defective at end): ...And he placed the bird on it and struck four on its four sides Strings and should make the road all tight from that length of land The size of the arrow throw, even if it is longer, is more accurate and more likely due to its large number The catch then makes the alignment on the side where the khazara is also free
