A Persian version of Book One of the
Elements
(Στοιχεῖα; Euclid's book [in the basics]) by the mathematician Euclid of Alexandria (Εὐκλείδης; Euclid; fl. 300 BC). The diagrams are collected on three fold outs (ff. 74r, 89r and 95r).
Begins (f. 71v, lines 1-2:
The first article of Euclid's book has forty-seven figures and is in the fixed version
Forty-eight is the increase of one shape and that shape is 2. The habit has gone like this
Ends (f. 94v, lines 6-7)
... He became the eighth after Nir Qaymeh
