Notes Abridgement of a treatise also by the author, Shihāb al-Dīn Abū al-‘Abbās Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ha’im al-Maqdisī al-Faraḍī (Shihāb al-Dīn Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Ha’im al-Maqdisi al-Fardi, d. 1412), entitled al-Murshidah fī ṣinā‘at al-ghubār (Guide in the dust industry) on arithmetic and ḥisāb al-ghubār , or mathematical calculation by means of the Indian-derived 'dust' numerals.
