Guide to medical diagnosis and treatment by the physician and philosopher Abū Bakr Muḥammad ibn Zakarīyā al-Rāzī (Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Zakaria al-Razi; d. ca 925). The text is divided into 150 chapters (sections) each describing an aid and methods for treating it. The chapters are arranged by affected part from head to foot, followed by discussions of unlocalised diseases. A table of contents is found on ff. 1v-4v.
The text is followed by a short extract from the
Book of Properties
(Kitab Al-Khawass), presumably al-Rāzī's own book by that name (see Sezgin,
List of Arabic letters
