Notes Treatise on the classification of phenomena including miracles, inspiration, various forms of magic, talismans and occult sciences arranged according mutual interactions between bodies and souls by Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd Allāh (Abu Ali Al-Hussein bin Abdullah), known as Ibn Sīnā (Ibn Sina, latinised as Avicenna, d. 1037). The treatise, which is also known as The Treatise of Actions and Effects (The Message on Actions and Emotions) is perhaps part of Ibn Sīnā’s fragmentarily preserved Book of Piety and Sin (The Book of Righteousness and Unrighteousness, see Gutas, Dimitri, Avicenna and the Aristotelian Tradition [2014], pp. 498 and 500).
