Notes Allegorical work by Abū ʻAlī al-Ḥusayn ibn ʻAbd Allāh (Abu Ali Al-Hussein bin Abdullah), known as Ibn Sīnā (Avicenna, latinised as Avicenna, d. 1037). In the colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text. , the title is given as The Epistle Called The Bird (The Treatise on the Bird, f. 437v, lines 20-21). A Persian commentary on this text by Zayn al-Dīn ʻUmar ibn Sahlān al-Sāwajī (Umar ibn Sahlan al-Sāwī, also al-Sāwī [Al-Sawi], fl. early 12th century) is item 28, above (ff. 424v-435r).
