Extracts concerning pharmacology from the
Minhāj al-bayān fīmā yastaʿmiluhū al-insān
(منهاج البيان فيما يستعمله الإنسان) by Abū ‘Alī Yahyá ibn ‘Īsá (أبو علي يحيى ابن عيسى), known as Ibn Jazlah (ابن جزلة; d. 493/1100) and from the
Pandects
or
Kunnāsh
(Knash), called here the
Nushat al-bīmāristān
(Bimaristan version) by Aaron of Alexadria (Aaron; fl c AD 7th century; see f. 15v, lines 4-5).
The manuscript is defective at the end, and folio 1r contains fragments of poetry from the end of a preceding text.

If it is pounded wet and placed on a sore, it will soften the meat
Its ashes are useful for burning and treating all sores
