Notes	Excerpt on the treatment of dysmenorrhoea said to be from the Book of the Treasure (Book of Ammunition) attributed to Thabit ibn Qurrah (Thābit ibn Qurrah, d. 901; see line 18). Although material on this topic features in the edited text of the Book of the Treasure (see ed. Sobhy, chapter 18, pp. 117-18), the excerpt presented here is not found. The text was copied by the grandson of Muḥammad Amīn Bek ibn Ibrāhīm Bek ibn Yūnus Afandī ibn Yāsīn Afandī al-Muftī ibn Maḥmūd Afandī (Muhammad Amin Bey Ibn Ibrahim Bey Ibn Yunus Effendi Ibn Yasin Effendi Al-Mufti Ibn Mahmud Effendi, d. ca 1812, see Raʾūf, 'al-Adīb al-ṭabīb Muḥammad Amīn Bek Āl Yāsīn al-Muftī al-Mawṣilī' [2016]). Beginnings (f. 116r, lines 1-2): A treatment for menstrual retention. The author of Al-Dhakhira, may God have mercy on him, said: palliative and heated medications Al-Mufha, Cordiana, Celery Seed, Anise... Ends (f. 116r, lines 21-23): ...the characteristic of Shayaf The last barren Persian sheaf, ulcers, black seed, sluggish, wet, and vervain are taken They pound, sift, and knead with water, and she bears it repeatedly with cotton. This is the last words of the owner of the ammunition
