The author's name, which does not appear in this manuscript, is disputed and his nisba is also reported as Ṣanawbarī (coniferous, GAL II, 189; GALS II, 252; Ullmann, This medicine is Islam , 188) and Ṣuburnī (Be patient, Hamarneh, Catalog of Arabic Manuscripts on Medicine and Pharmacy at the British Library , 221).
