Notes	A commentary on the preceding text, al-Bāḥah fī ʿilmay al-ḥisāb wa-al-misāḥah (Al-Baha fi the sciences of arithmetic and surveying), in which the text of the latter is also fully transcribed (Arithmetic: ff. 28r-87r; Surveying: ff. 87r-109r). The text was completed on 25 Rabīʿ II 836/19 December 1432 and the transcription of the present copy was completed a month later on the night of 24 Jumādá I of the same year/16 January 1433 (see colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text. , f. 109r, lines 14-19, transcribed below). The calculation of areas of different shapes are illustrated with red diagrams (f. 90v-103r). Begins (f. 28v, line 2-5): Praise be to God, who has counted everything in number and distributed the provisions of His creation in varying and inexhaustible ways I never give Him much praise, and He does not leave much of the heart without making it obligatory for Him to meet Him By reparation, he does not commit sins, whether major or minor, without committing them, as is attributed to the ten sins Root... Ends (f. 109r, lines 9-13): ...And God helped the one with the intention to the one who composed it even after he praised Kamal I concluded it in the year six, after thirty-eight hundred, as we said Praise be to God for everything and the best prayers and peace Upon the Prophet, his family, and companions, whose names are recorded in the books May God forgive whoever created it, whoever read it, and whoever saw it Colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text.
