Commentary by Abū al-Qāsim ‘Abd al-Raḥmān ibn Isḥāq al-Zajjājī (Abu al-Qasim Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq al-Zajji; d. ca 950) on the Risālat adab al-kātib (The Treatise on Writer’s Literature) by Abū Muḥammad ‘Abd Allāh ibn Muslim ibn Qutaybah al-Dīnawarī (Abu Muhammad Abdullah bin Muslim bin Qutaybah al-Dinawarī; d. ca 889).
Begins (f. 41r, line 2):
But after that, may God grant you generosity with your survival, adorn the world with your glory, and support the people of knowledge with the longevity of your days
Ends (f. 58v, lines 26-27):
And being stripped of gray hair is as if when he gave her dates to the naked man, he took away some of the dates while she was
