A treatise on meteorological division attributed to Aristotle and perhaps related to the tradition of his
Meteorologica
(Book of Alawite Antiquities).
Begins (f. 1v, lines 2-7):
Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the followers and [!] messengers
Our Master Muhammad and upon all his family and companions. This is a book
Aristotle cataloged the signs of each year and what happens
It includes constellations, thunders, earthquakes, and the attack of planets
And the eclipse of the sun, the moon, the revolving, the rainbow, the trembling, and the calm
The thunderbolt and the subsequent entry into the Sunnah in Arabic [?] and Rumi
Ends (f. 36v, line 12-37r, line 1):
A king will perish, and many circles will perish with him, and the rulers of Egypt will reconcile, and many will reconcile
Birds fall to livestock, death and trade are terrifying [?] in the book
Wheat is in demand in half the year, and fenugreek and wheat are expensive and cheap
Whoever answers his door, then sores, ulcers, and closeness appear among the people
[f. 37r] They revolt, and God knows best and is wisest
